It is a bit thicker than other competing tablets because of all the on-board connections, but I find it comfortable to hold and use. However, when you put this Portfolio 360 case on it, it becomes very heavy and unwieldy. It adds about a pound to the weight which is a big deal for a tablet. The ridges on the inside of the cover where you are supposed to rest the edge of the tablet when propping it up don't actually work very well, as the tablet can slip out of the ridges pretty easily with a slight movement (like if you have it propped up in your lap). I would be willing to keep the case and just use it when slipping it into my bag if it weren't for the other big problems. First, the ridges inside the cover are huge, so when you close the cover it sits about 1/2 inch over the screen. I'm posting a picture that shows this problem. The 360 design however, needs some work. The swiveling part of the portfolio does not swivel very easily and the stand part is rather flimsy and doesn't support the tablet all that well. In all, it is functional and does what it should, it just isn't the best at doing so. |
